Here's the simple way...
1. Head over to
MasGrafx.
2. Click 'Downloads' button on the left.
3. Click on the 'Paint Shop' link.
4. Click on the 'Numbers' link.
5. Click on the 'Cup Numbers' link.
6. Download the '2001 #3 Richard Childress Racing' number.
7. Wherever you saved the file right-click on it and choose 'Extract All' then 'Next', 'Next' & 'Finish'.
8. Open the uncompressed .psd with whatever design program you're using.
9. Choose either of the #3s and duplicate it.
10. Move the duplicated number below the original one.
11. Change the duplicated number's color to 'Napa' gold (R=255, G=185, B=17).
12. Move the duplicated number (now the gold 'shadow') to the desired location, merge the two layers and you're done.
While this seems like allot of work, it's really just the last 4 steps that involve any design work. It probably took me all of 10 seconds to do the above once I had the number open in Photoshop.
I've supplied you with everything you need to do this yourself. Give it a try.
