Bill Elliott Driver Development
« on: 01/05/10, 11:37 PM »
I wanted to finish the third car in the set before posting them. These are the three cars for Bill Elliott's Driver Development team in 2009.

#9 Chase Elliott - Aaron's.   This is a generic version since the team ran in many different series. The car varied through all of the pictures I have, so this is a compromise.

#19 Casey Roderick - Hometown Community Bank.   Like Elliott, the team ran a few different schemes. Compromised and made this as close as possible from an ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour race.

#21 John King - Fairway Ford.   Pretty spot on.

Cars come with crews and ratings.

Thanks guys.  I'm pretty tickled with them myself, particularly the #9 and #21.  I'd say the #19 is pretty accurate except for the right quarter panel logo.  It may have been a different sponsor than Hometown, but there just aren't enough reliable pics available to check for total accuracy.   The guys who are making the Snowball Derby set will have another version of the Chase Elliott car in it that I made.  It's a little different than this one.

I wanted to do more touring cars, but I have to focus my free time on painting Lake Erie Speedway cars.  There's a chance they'll be used to promote the race track.  A full field takes A LOT of time.

Great job!

A Good Start.

You might be a NASCAR fan if you can remember every driver and their car number but can't remember how old your children are!
