Problem with locked scenes in Max 8
« on: 03/11/12, 06:12 PM »
After merging pieces from several scenes, the new scene shows up with a "lock" on it.  Explorer doesn't see it, can't copy it, or move it.   Maybe someone could direct me as what to do.
Thanks in advance,
Greg

I can't find anything in the Max 8 Bible that talks about it either.

May be way off base, but maybe it's something to do with the operating system?

Any chance you had max running with administrator privileges and saved some files then later ran it as a normal user and it's not letting you have access to files needing administrator privileges?

Not even sure if you are using Vista or Win7, but I have had a few headaches from the user vs administrator privilege differences.

Shot in the dark but that's the kind of stuff those locks make me think of.

Good luck.

Brian, it's Max 8 running under win 7.  All work done with the same settings.   So I don't think that is the problem.  Very confusing.  Thanks for the response.
