cweagle, copy a fast.cup.sim and a fast.gns.sim from another (similar) track and drop in the trackfolder.

Steven, I had a quick look in sandbox and I think you'll need to define a patch of surface as Apron Near The Pits just before entering pitroad. On some occasions (for unknown reasons :P) it works anyway but normally having a patch of ANTP where you place the appruleenterpits points works best for any black flag issues (getting as well as clearing).
