There's actually a series in NW Indiana that runs those called I-Mods for Independent Modifieds. Started off as an IMCA/UMP modified but the local track allowed guys to modify them with larger tires, more engine, etc. They've tamed out some, as they don't use crate motors but they have a rule similar to the old 1980's 9:1 late models. The owner of the series sells a cage kit that you can mount yourself or you have to buy the car from him. ALL the chassis are identical and the components have to be approved so now it's almost like a full sized version of the Dwarf Cars. Pretty economical really, faster than UMP mods and the sponsors LOVE those big sideboards!
