I took one liberty on this car.  I placed the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation logo on the hood.  I thought it was a fitting tribute.  Here is the text from the 1987 Anderson Speedway Program:

"Rocky Tharp was a very popular racer at Anderson Speedway until hanging up his helmet and becoming our Tech Inspector in 1983.  He lost his life in December 1984, in a traffic accident while on his way to fight a fire with the Cowan (IN) Volunteer Fire Dept.  To perpetuate his memory, Anderson Speedway presents an annual award to the driver in each division that exhibits sportsmanship and honor, which were Rocky's trademarks."
