Legend's race at Bristol

Say a prayer for Larry Pearson as he hit the wall coming out of turn 3 and was t-boned by Charlie Glotzbach. Charlie got out ok, but Pearson, aged 56, was hit very hard on the driver's side.

Not to really dis you, but *Larry* Pearson was NOT "one of the greats".  His dad, David, *was* - winning 105 races, second only to Richard Petty.  But yeah, prayers said for Larry as he did take a helluva hit there from Glotzbach.

Not to dis you but he is a two-time Busch Series champion.
What do you call 10,000 Restrictor plates at the bottom of the ocean?
A Good Start.

You might be a NASCAR fan if you can remember every driver and their car number but can't remember how old your children are!

i was one of the relatively few people that stayed in the stands to watch that race, and let me tell you, the video does not do that crash justice. that was the worst crash i have ever seen, the sound of the impact followed by every single person there jumping up, gasping, and then going dead silent for 10 minutes made that moment something i will never forget. i'm just glad he didn't hit 12" more to the rear, or Pearson would have died.
