Cool I got Preston hooked up with it, hopefully he will be able to take some things from it and carry them over to the real thing, not that the rest of the competition needs him to get any better  :)

The Doug Mate you speak of is the same from the 80's

He's more traveled than most.

Not a dinosaur yet, but close.

He's traveled long distances to race the last few years before the Bounty Series.

Sorry to bump this back up, but do the guys running the TBRA show now have any idea what the hell they're doing at all?

Not sure what you're referring to.  But, I know I'm glad they are bringing some extra cars to Motordrome and Lake Erie.

The ones who are going aren't glad to be there, since they messed up the rules from last year and are still out-powered and out-dollared at tracks 2+ hours from where they're from.

Between Motordrome and Lake Erie, I got a few photos of many of the TBRA cars.  IF I can get my old PC up and running again...or can find some of my files... I may paint a few.  I will agree that it didn't seem like many TBRA cars could hang with the regular Super Late Models.

Ron, I think that was his point. The series is based out of Ohio, and when it's primary role is to inflate a car count at tracks in another state, it poses a problem for credibility as a series. Of course as they say, one man's loss is another man's gain, so at least you get to see better shows!

I am not all that great with the technical side of the cars, but this series was originally a "Late Model" Series. When it changed it's name this year, maybe they went to the "Super Late Model" rules, but I was under the impression they were still just "Late Models." That may be why they are having a hard time keeping up!
