psp8 issues
« on: 12/20/09, 10:15 PM »
whenever i open one of the bigger templates i get this message, i was working on a NSCS2010 car yesterday, today i tried to open it but i cant, i deleted over 100 files to see if it was a space issue but it still wont open, i deleted around 10 templates around 60 jpeg pics, and other stuff, and like i said, they worked yesterday. i dont know what ive done since then. i can open an aero88 temp with around 30 layers, but when i try to open anything much bigger it wont work, i completed 2 Outlaws eariler today and now i cant get the templates that i used for them open. does anybody know whats going on? psp8 was the only program i had running when i tried to open stuff too.

sounds like your page file or memory is full.

Try restarting your computer and see what happens.

Maybe try a disk cleanup?  Defragment?

i got up this morning and tried to check my email, it wouldn't load, i looked at my favorites and they weren't in the right order at all. i looked at what you guys had said and figured id restart it. i tried to open psp8 before i restarted my comp. and it wouldn't even open. so i restarted and i was able to check my mail and i got psp8 open and i opened the template that i couldn't get open yesterday, so restarting it worked i think! Thanks guys! is there anything i can do to prevent this from happening again?

Yeah... turn off your computer at night so it will delete the page file it's using for memory storage.

A computer only has so much memory, and when it's full, it starts using the hard drive as memory. That's called the page file system in Windows. When that's full, your screwed, time to reboot the puter. If you turn it off at night, it will be empty every morning.
