Dale drove this Lumina to his 5th of 7 eventual championships. This year, he completed twenty-nine races, won four of them, and took home over 2 million dollars in season earnings. In 1991, Dale also acquired an admirable fourteen top-5 and twenty-one top-10 finishes. Mac Tools is in front of the rear wheel well and Western Steer on the rear quarter panel. Ac shows on the Angle Frame, as opposed to 1992 being on the Window frame. The Western Steer logo is also less dominant on this paint scheme. Dale would win this Championship by 195 points over contender Ricky Rudd.

Western Steer is on the rear quarter panel and AC is on the window frame. Dale only finished out of the top 10 in points in two seasons throughout his career and this was the second such year. Alan Kulwicki would gain his Championship against contender Bill Elliot by only 10 points, the narrowest margin of victory in NASCAR history.
