Since there's no Checker in this mod, I randomly chose the Ford Fairlane to represent the famous cab company.

The Smithsonian Institue called it the most important dinosaur movie ever made. Jurrasic Park is one of my favorite films. This car is loosely based off the tour vehicles in the movie.

Can't quite come up with a proper Hudson Hornet in this mod, but this is fairly reminiscent of the Disney/Pixar version.

| #75 Red Car Trolley Ford posted by Chadley | 11/12/11, 07:03 PM | 462 | 4.70 (3 votes) | |
|
Here's another one with a Disney connection, but a bit removed this time. Pacific Electric Railway "Red Cars" were real public transportation company in southern California in the first half of the 1900s. Disney's California Adventure park is building replica Red Car Trolleys to transport guests to the "Tower of Terror" ride. They also featured the trolleys in the 1988 movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" in which the detective character's name was Eddie Valiant.

Marine Life Aquarium was a tourist attraction in Rapid City, South Dakota for many years, but is long gone now. I remember going as a kid to see their one dolphin jump through a hoop, some seals swimming in a tank and a few penguins.

Tribute to my Uncle Bill Necessary. He owned a Sinclair station back in the day. We teased each other by calling each other Walt. So that's the name on the door. Render by DawsonvilleBill9 |

Pok-A-Dots Drive Inn was one of my favorite places to eat in Spearfish, South Dakota during my college years at Black Hills State University. It was one of those classic drive ins with car hops that you had to believe at one time wore roller skates.

I based this one off a Vintage Hot Wheels Racing diecast I saw in a store. I think their model was a '67 Impala or something like that, but I thought the paint would look good on a '50s Ford.
