Newland's debut came in 1955, when he competed at Morristown. Starting positions in the field of thirty are unknown, but Newland only completed 120 of the 200 laps in route to a mediocre 22nd place finish. Newland didn't return to action until 1969, when he competed at Michigan. Starting 42nd in the forty-four car field, Newland again fell many laps behind and struggled to a 36th place finish. Engine problems hampered Newland in his final race, blowing his mill and finishing 27th in the inaugural Talladega race. Car comes skilled to run a full season, and comes with pitcrew. |
