GTP Tracks?

Is there a way to convert the GTP tracks to normal NR2003 tracks? I wanna race Silverstone.

There is a PWF Silverstone that is not GTP... I just uploaded it for you here in the downloads.

Yeah, I know, but the PWF one is the one they raced in the 50's. I want to race on the one now, chicanes and complex and all. It had worked for me once, and I have no idea what I did...

And by the way, sorry I posted this here. It was late last night and I was very tired because I was paranoid of another aftershock. Didn't realize this should be in tracks thread.

Yes. The GTP version of the track is the more current version with the added chicanes and the whole Luffield complex. Take a look at these pictures, the first one is more of the PWF version, the second is the GTP version. Also, the GTP version has better graphics and eye candy.

All you have to do is have the proper setup files to the track.
For simplicity, just copy the files called fast.xxx.sim (xxx being cup, cts, gns and pta) from a similar track and drop in the silverstone_gtp trackfolder. These are the setups the AI will use so don't copy them from Bristol ;) (for the track to load it's almost always enough with the fast.cup.sim though. Still, having the rest of them wont hurt)
I have no idea how much time GTP guys spent on optimizing the grip values to get it just "right" for cup cars etc so that might need some adjusting later but to be able to turn laps all you need is the setups :)

Well for that matter, you could just take the track.ini file and copy over the grip and tire wear info over from the PWF version and run it.
