Nationwide COT

What do you guys think of the new Nationwide COT? Watching the race at the moment, and I cannot get over how STRANGE the Impala looks. The Toyota doesn't look much different than the Sprint Cup version. But that Challenger looks really good out there. I'm looking forward to seeing these cars more!

Agreed, I think Chevrolet would have been better off using the Camaro, much cooler car than the Impala.....

It needs work, looks too boxy like a shoebox. Let's all hope the new 2011 Cup nose/splitter won't be a near carbon copy.

Hate to break it to you guys but I was in Daytona and it's a copy of the cup COT with a dif front end. The looks are mostly done with decals, and the Challenger nose is the only one that needs a dif template. They clip on a little peice to it to measure the indented area and that's it. On tv not bad, in person it's the Cup COT with a new nose.

I know they used the cot chassis in which would make the rear resemble the cot but.......  the quarters are angled up from the bpillars back on the nws. there may not be a huge differance but it is noticeable.

Lets just face it...  NASCAR has turned into a spec car racing series.  All the "cookie cutter cars" going around on "cookie cutter tracks"......  But, Like Dave Despain said tonight on "Wind Tunnel", NASCAR did it for one reason and one reason only...  The "run what ya brung racing" like it used to be had gotten too expensive, and ultimately the guy with the most cubic money ended up winning...  It is a shame, I liked all racing better when the crew chief had some say so in what the care looked like, how it was sprung and geared.......
