i think it would really be cool if some how some way you could get the bowman gray cone restarts for the game it make the restarts more fun.

is that like the English Brisca F1 stock cars where they place a cone in the middle of the road at the start finish line and you're not allowed to cross lanes until past it?  then some nutter runs out into the road a grabs it after the start.

I'd say that's it Ian, except everywhere I've seen it in America the guys have gotten smarter and tied a rope to the cone so they can pull it off the track instead of run out there.  :)

I went outside once. The graphics weren't all that great.
I suffer from CDO. It's like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!

If I am not mistaken, the cone only serves one purpose and is used during the caution laps to re-align the field giving the inside or outside option to the field. Once they are double file again, they remove the cone before the green drops. I also think that as each driver passes the cone, they make the decision on which line to start in, then they must start in that line. This allowed some cars to try and get a few places up if they were willing to take the outside lane, cause most would take the inside. If that is true, then this probably would not work since any car moving past another during yellow would get flagged.

Correct me if I have this wrong.
