Topic: I need some help

So this will probably sound pretty stupid but keep in mind I'm pretty new to painting, anyway here it goes...

I just finished a template for a Outlaw Late Model and I saved it as targa/.tga but when I opened Nascar 2003 to import it, it would just appear on the car with big pieces cut out because the paint system in the game isn't fit to the Outlaw mod. So I was wondering if theres any other way to import a .tga on to a car without using the Nascar 2003 paint system or what I can do to make it work?

Don't use the paint program to import. Do it straight from the Opponent manager and click new about mid way down on the right side of the screen. When the box opens, select the model, name it and then click import in the bottom right  of the screen. Select your car file that you placed in the export and import folder of your game and then do the same for the crew.

Now go race it.
