New Downloads from your sight.
« on: 07/01/15, 07:25 AM »
Hello Sirs, I have noticed a couple of problems at your sight lately and hope you can help me with the problems. The first one is that you had a guy downloading some new and very good LMV2 late model cars, and he disappeared all of a sudden. Where did he go? Is he still going to post the late models for people to download? I thought they were excellent. They keep showing cars from the MBLM sight, but in jpg form. Are these getting posted for download? These are questions I hope you can answer for me, because the downloads would be great. Thanks, melloman

I get the feeling that melloman is asking about the flats that show up in the '3DS Max Render Request' forum.

If so, those are 'paints' done by individuals for their own use (although sometimes they will make them available for download). However, you can still use the .jpg 'flats' in game...just find an image conversion program (there are lots of free ones available ~ IrFanView comes to mind).

And then...
1. Convert the .jpg to a .tga, and save it in the C:\Papyrus\NASCAR Racing 2003 Season\exports_imports folder.
2. Launch NR2003.
3. Navigate to the LMV2 series (or whatever series the 'flat' was made for).
4. Select 'Opponent Manager'.
5. Click the 'NEW' tab (body makes do matter at times so if the flat the person made says something like, 'Make: Chevy' in their render request description that is the body style you should pick).
6. Name your new car.
7. Click the 'IMPORT' button in the lower right of the spinning car window.
8. Select your saved .tga file.
9. Click 'OK'.
10. Assign your new car a driver name & number (Sponsor, Team & Ratings too if you like)
11. Be sure to 'SAVE' your new car/driver.
12. Your new car/driver should be available to add to the 'Roster' as long as 'Display Active Drivers Only' is not selected/ticked.

And that's it. Any 'flat' that you find on the web can be added in to NR2003 as long as it's a .tga and saved in the exports_imports folder. It took longer to write these insturctions than it does to perform the actual task.
I went outside once. The graphics weren't all that great.
I suffer from CDO. It's like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!
If you can't spill it, it ain't 'paint'!
