Late Model Rendering
« on: 04/02/10, 04:46 PM »
Hi!

I have a sign company in Central Virginia and have lettered quite a few race cars over the last 15 years.  I normally design in Corel on top of digital photos of the actual car.  I currently have a job to letter a car for a Cup driver who'll be racing in a Late Model.  This requires design approvals from his sponsors and I'd like to do something a little nicer for this presentation.  I experimented with 3ds several years ago when we were doing some work for a Hooters team but I'm kind of back to square one.  I'm looking for some advice on how to get started again.

I'm downloading the trial version of 3ds now.  I've located and downloaded a lmv2 model and a Toyota template.  I shouldn't have any issues getting the paint template layed out but I definitely could use some guidance on the rendering.  Can anyone point me to some tutorials that might help?

I would just request renders but I have to keep the design confidential at this point.

Thanks!
