#30 number help
« on: 03/25/09, 02:20 PM »
I'm trying to find a #30 retro like font from 2004 for a retro paint scheme that I'm planning. The pic is below.

Can anyone help with this one? Thanks. :)

I just go to a place like http://www.1001freefonts.com/ and start going through them to find one close... then use the 'custom preview' and type in the number to see if it's right.

If I can't find it that way, I make it from scratch...

Of course having a folder of my own with 70,000 fonts in it doesn't hurt either! lol.

If you have already done your homework on it, let me know and I will see what I can come up with.

I'm not sure if these two are accurate but they're close. A font called BN Machine which is located on the Old School font section, and the Bauer font is in the Headline section. What do you think?

Bauer is the font you want... it just needs to be skewed the opposite direction. You should be able to do that in PSP or PSD whichever you use.

Could you tell me what's the perferred size of a number font? I'm doing the font in both WordPerfect and in PS CS2.

It all depends on the template and car you are working on... if the template is saved in 200dpi it will be a different size than if the template is saved in 72dpi, even if you set it at 150pt.

Also, the Ariel font will be a different size than the bauer font will be...

Got the font working on WordPerfect but I need to transfer it on PS or Imageready. I have a bit difficulty in transferring it.

just go to control panel and install the font in windows. Then it will show up in Photoshop.
