1955 Buicks

I made a template for the 1955 Buick based on the Chevy .car file that came with the GN55 mod by DMR. Did one for Oldsmobile too, which I'll post a screenshot of soon. I'm hoping to generate some interest in this awesome mod in hopes that it will get completed.

Thanks RacerRon. Anyone know how to get good consistent screen shots? It's been kind of trial and error for me. I'd like to get one similar to what Dave's been posting with his 1969 cars.

Great work man! Those two cars you did look really good.

As far as finding reference pics, it can be really time consuming. However, I just used Google Image Search to see what I could find in 5 minutes. The results were not too terribly shabby. Six cars: Junior Johnson, Fonty Flock, Lee Petty, Curtis Turner, Herb Thomas, and Buck Baker.

Your best and most consistent screen shot would be to have them rendered by someone

Thanks for your comments Dave and jopajoe. I actually painted Fonty's car already. I was kind of hoping the GN55 mod would get finished someday so I could paint some 55 Chryslers and Fords too.  Anyway, here's my take on Fonty's car.

Great cars Jeb!

I misunderstood your earlier question, so let me answer that. The way I get consistent screenshots of my cars, is by using a specific track.

Go get Blue Ridge from here:  http://www.nr2k3tracks.com/n2k3speed.html  Be sure to get the 1 and a half mile track. If you need a shot of a car, put it on a test list, then fire up the race. Watch it on tv or tv2. When there is a good shot of it, pause it, and hit the print screen button. Close n2003, open paint, and hit paste. There is your car. Use the selection tool, and crop to get rid of the empty space.

Good luck!

That's kind of funny that was the first car I paint for this mod back in 2008

Nice job on those templates.  This mod would be neat to have.  Maybe get finished some day.

Thanks for all your help and comments guys! I think I like jopajoe's Fonty paint job better than mine. Great render too! Glad to see that you do renders for this mod. Also, I've been working on my screenshot method a little bit with Dave76's help, so here's that...
