2007 GMC Denali Pickup
« on: 01/04/12, 11:07 PM »
I was showing my car models that I have posted here at RG and the guys at the shop where I work were razzin' me about why I haven't modeled my own personal truck. Now I can say, I have.

I have always been a truck man and could never imagine my life without one. Out of the several pickup trucks I have owned in the last 30 years, this truck by far is the most comfortable, fun, quickest driving truck I have ever owned. This baby will flat get it. I bought this truck four years ago and even though payments remain, I still don't have one complaint about it. Other trucks I've bought within a year or so of payments I was already grumbling about wanting another truck.
My wife knows not to ask for the keys! Anyone else who knows my passion for this truck knows not to ask to drive it either.  Selfish?  Hell yea! It's worth every gallon of gas!

Enjoy the pics.  Comments always appreciated.

Cayce, that's just amazing dude... you've really gotten good with creating models. What do you do for a day job? I'm just wondering if you could turn your hobby of modeling into a career. Your really good at it.

Thanks everyone. It was quite the project but the end result was well worth it I think.

As far as selling models I don't think I'm ready yet. Everything I know has been learned on my own. Professional? um.............., no. These models may look good to the eye but if a pro were to tear it apart, I'm positive they would be laughing, maybe even crying and I'd be fired immediately. LOL Too many verts! Why so much resolution!? Why isn't this one piece and welded properly!!?
Hell, I don't even know the correct terminology of what I'm doing half the time. I just do it. Still a lot of reading tute's, blueprints, and trial and errors... (lots of those but getting less the more I repeat actions). I always seem to pick up new tricks along the way. For now I'll just keep plugging along as I have been and get a smile or two out of all your wonderful comments.

Thanks guys! It's YOU that inspires me!

Whats next?  hmmmm, I have a little surprise to add here soon.  Stay tuned.  :)
