I have tried to merge other cars or trucks into a scene and how do you know where to put it without looking like it's either sinking or floating in the air. Thanks for any help

There's a way using align to object, but I don't remember the steps... I just rotate the scene up until I'm eye level with the ground plane and move my car or truck up and down until it's about right and do a test render.

You can change the number in the bottom 'x' box to the third decimal point to make it exact if dragging it moves it too much.

Well most scenes are set to perspective or user. If you click on the maximize viewport toggle (its the button all the way to the bottom and all the way to the right that looks like 2 little boxes) it should bring up 4 viewports. If one of them os a side view or a back or front just select what you want to move right click and pick move. You should see the plain line from a side or head on viewport. If you click on the toggle and nothing happens dont panic that just means whomever made the scene set it that way. Just look back down to the lower buttons and right click on the one that looks like a greater than sign or a sideways triangle whichever lol its the one directly to the left of the little hand then a window will come up select viewports tab and select one that has several views.
