How to Use WinMip2 to Create a Carfile

This video tutorial was a request by one of the painters here at RG, so I decided I would share it with the public as well. We tend to paint alot of cars here at RacinGrafix.com and filesize can become an issue as different software has different compression ratios when you save a car file. I first noticed this when the NCTS 09 Truck Mod was released, and we started to put together a carset for the 2008 Craftsman Truck Series.

To make a long story short, watch the video and learn how you can make a 2 or 3MB carfile come out to around 1.3 MB without losing much quality at all. Also, you never have to fire up the game just to create a new carfile for your paintschemes! If you have any questions, simply post them in the forums. Now click the 'Read More' link or the title of this article to view the video tutorial!

Thanks!

I have the last WinMip and Chromillusion Programs on my site unlisted. If I get the ok I'll post a link so both those programs can be downloaded.

WinMip by Klaus Hörbrand

Chrome Illusioner by Jack Duchesneau  (special mention to White Falcon)
I can be used for CUP, CTS & GNS, (And most any Mod that uses these physics engines)
(NOTE: ChromeIllusioner takes a couple minutes to open even on my quadcore)

Like I said, if I get an ok I'll post links to these.
