Trying to paint this
« on: 09/17/15, 08:55 PM »
Having trouble getting the other side of the car done with such a complex design.  I'm not the best painter, but like to give it a go before I send out a request, been working on this one for 3 weeks and its giving me fits. Any tips?

Tips? Sure.

Do the one side that you can trace over making each color a separate layer.
Duplicate those layers and flip them vertically.
Move the duplicated layers to other side (or up/vertically).

I went outside once. The graphics weren't all that great.
I suffer from CDO. It's like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!
If you can't spill it, it ain't 'paint'!

Awesome looking car!  Do as Sage said.  Paint one side then flip it for the other.  What I've done in the past is copy and paste that pic you posted on my template.  Size it to fit the template.  Then create layers for those graphics, one layer per color.  Basically trace over them.  Looks like a lot of straight lines, which are a little easier.  Try it and see how it goes.

Getting there.  Ignore the green chassis.
