Bad Resolutions
« on: 03/01/10, 04:50 PM »
I got a new computer with windows 7 and ive had really bad resolution since, ive tried using the graphics tweaker and i get the new settings then try to launch the game it wont launch. Is there any other way to get the graphics to look better? with my old computer the graphics were great but.

Compare specs of your old cpu with your new one, did your old one have a better graphics card? Or is the cars resolution really low and your just now seeing it due to an upgrade in your graphics card. Along time ago a few people did 512x512 cars, then it moved to 1024x1024, and now 2048x2048 is hi-res. You could possibly have some cars running 512's which will make the cars look like crap. I can think of many different things this could be, but I need to know your cpu specs, also try the manual graphics tweak found here http://www.riouxmods.com/index.php?topic=1383.0

Edit: Also are you running nr2003 in openGL or D3D

im sure the cars are at 1024, its the 2010 nationwide set from SRD. idk if its the graphics card cuz i also play rollercoaster tycoon and it runs it GREAT, my old one couldnt handle it. The game plays great just cant get the graphics to look right

Heres my computer now with specs:

Run your 3d config and see if its set for openGL, if it is change it to Direct 3D. Make sure your resolution for the game matches your desktop. On my laptop if my res is lower than what my desktop is the cars look bad. Other than trying the manual graphics tweak I really cant think of anything tonight....Is this the only mod it does this on? or like this in all the series.
